My Brief Book Reviews

I have completely read these books and so I think that they are really good - unless I have made comments otherwise. (Other opinions may vary!)

The Stepford Wives

by Ira Levin

I loved the movie (the older version) so I had a chance to read the book. It's somewhat different but a fast and interesting read. It's not very long.

Bringing Down the House

by Ben Mezrich

It's a book about some MIT students who learned not only how to count cards in a six deck blackjack deck (I think that's right) but how to coordinate it so that as a team they could compound their winnings. Because it was a system designed to beat the house, the casinos didn't like it one bit when they found out and forced them (occasionally using strong-arm tactics) out of the casinos despite the team doing nothing illegal.
