Shakespeare & Company

A book about the bookshop in Paris called Shakespeare & Co. It is not about the present day Shakespeare & Co. that's in existence now. (The owner George took over the name of the previous one run by Sylvia.)

It takes place from 1919 until the Liberation of Paris in 1944. Much of the book is about her working relationship with James Joyce. Other than that, there seems to be a lot of literary name dropping. Not that great of a book.
