My Brief Book Reviews

I have completely read these books and so I think that they are really good - unless I have made comments otherwise. (Other opinions may vary!)

Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling

by Russ King

An interesting book about how Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel in Rome with several assistants. It took them just over four years to paint it. They painted it, not on their backs but standing, leaning backwards. Tough.

The book also talks about Pope Julius II who was quite a character and also how he started several wars against the Venetians and the French.
